ICCR Scholarships for International Students

The Indian government announced new scholarships for undergraduate, Master’s and PhD levels.

All students around the world can apply for these scholarships. Indian government assign 1000 scholarships only for Afghanistan students. It is a great opportunity for the students of Afghanistan.

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offers the following courses for undergraduate studies:

Economics, History, Political Science, Geography, Philosophy, Psychology, English, Sociology, Mathematics, and Anthropology

Bachelor of Science in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Zoology, Botany, and computer science. Tech ( Civil, Electrical Mechanical, E ( Civil Engr, IT Engr, Computer Engr), etc.
Bachelor of Commerce /BBA in

Business Administration, BBM (IB)

Benefits of this scholarship for undergraduate studies:

  • Accommodation at Hostel (hostel fee is paid to the institution)
  • Monthly Living allowance of 18,000
  • Annual Contingent grant of 5,000
  • Thesis 7000 INR
  • Tuition fee and other Compulsory fees paid to the institution
  • Expenditure on laboratory chemicals and additional related incidental charges for science and agriculture students
  • Note: the travel costs and medical insurance are not covered by ICCR scholarships. Additional classes are taken by the student.

Eligibility:
Besides the eligibility conditions decided by the Ministry of higher education, the applicant meets the following criteria as well.

Have a good knowledge of the English language.

  • Be healthy
  • completed the 18 years.

Ph.D in non-controversial subjects such as Finance, Economics, Education, Agriculture, Pol. Sc. etc.

Language of instruction: Only English language

Benefits of this scholarship for undergraduate studies:

  • Accommodation at Hostel (hostel fee is paid to the institution)
  • Monthly Living allowance of 20,000 (for postgraduate) and 22,00 for M.Phil and PhD
  • Annual Contingent grant of 7000 (for postgraduate) and 12,500 for M.Phil / PhD
  • Tuition fee and other Compulsory fees paid to the institution
  • Expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges for science and agriculture students
  • Thesis/dissertation expenses for M.Phil/Ph.D. 7000

Eligibility:
Interested Applicants who want to study their master or Ph.D. in India on ICCR Scholarships should meet the following criteria:

  • be proficient in the English language
  • have obtained a university degree
  • the average number should be at least 65 %
  • Have original diplomas and transcripts in the English language.
  • be under the age of 30 for a master degree and under 45 for a PhD
  • have a National Identity card (Tazkira)
  • have no criminal record
  • be healthy

  • Diploma and transcripts of previous studies (high school, bachelor, Master) for master and Ph.D. applicants
  • Research plan/synopsis for MPhil, Doctoral and Post Doctoral courses

  • Translation of materials that are not in English
  • Contact details of two referees
  • Scan of Signature
  • A 500-word essay on one of the following topics:
